Lexmark needs to reconsider this form of extortion on future modles. I give it 4 out of 5 because of the size and inability to refill print cartridges.

Unlike most other manufactures it gives you more flexibility to which extra software you want to add to your computer and does not force you to download the gobs of stuff you will never use. Lexmark supply drivers for their products and in the case of multi-function printers require quite sophisticated drivers for all functions to work. Print/scan quality is not the best but it is acceptable for my needs. I heard the ink was expensive but compared to what I was paying for old printer I really do not see that much of a difference. If you use a lot of ink you might want to consider another printer which allows you to refill cartridges but if you are like me and use it primarily for printing coupons and the occasional document it is all you really need. Both computers has had no problems operating this printer. I was up an running in less then 15 minutes on notebook using wi-fi and less than 10 minutes on desktop using USB. This printer is larger than most would like and you'll not be able to refill ink cartridges, but as for simple wi-fi setup I do not know of any made so easy.
